BulSU Canteen Affordable Meals Afforda-not

𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚-𝐧𝐨𝐭

Bulacan State University accommodates more than a thousand students, and with that, many challenges have arisen, and that includes meals inside the campus. The campus canteen promotes a budget meal suitable for every student's pocket, but for some students it is still not affordable.

In an interview with Lanz Vergara a freshman from the College of Arts and Letters, he stated that some stalls in BulSU are budget friendly but some are not. "For me may mga stall na oo sulit sya but meron ding hindi. I can say na mas budget friendly yung mga meals sa CON Canteen, kasi sa halagang 100 pesos mabubusog kana kasi talaga. I usually separate my budget kasi sa food so 100 pesos lang talaga ginagastos kahit na 300 pesos ang baon ko a day kasama na ang pamasahe pauwi. When it comes naman sa medyo mahal na food, namamahalan ako sa food sa CSSP stalls, halagang 65 kasi minsan ang konti ng serving nila and hindi ka kasi talaga mabubusog so ayon kapag talaga gusto kong mabusog CON canteen ako kakain. Pero kapag wala ng time kung sa CSSP na kao kahit na medyo pricy yung meal nila."

In another interview with Andy Marcelino a third year student from College of Arts and Letters, he stated similar statements about this. "Oo, masasabi kong sulit ang pagkain sa loob ng campus dahil sa mga masasarap na pagkain at patas na serving. Bagamat hindi lahat ay mura, sa aking palagay, karamihan naman ay abot-kaya naman ang presyo. At dagdag pa rito, maraming pagpipilian sa paligid ng campus." 

But for some students the budget meal inside the campus is worth it. Edlyn Cruz a freshman from College of Business of Administration, stated that the meal inside the campus is worth it, "For me masasabi kong sulit yung sa ibang tindahan kasi marami yung servings nila ang sure na mabubusog ang student for only 60 pesos."

There are different perspectives of some students in BulSU regarding the price of a budget meal, but the idea and opinions remains the same. These are the challenges facing every student, especially for those who have a limited daily allowance to buy a meal that in some cases is not even worth buying, but it is a situation that BulSUans choose to live with.
